What is keys2drive?
Keys2drive is providing a free driving lesson to learner licence holders (overseas licence holders are not eligible), which brings the learner and their parent/supervisor together with a Keys2drive accredited professional driving instructor.
What Happens in the Free Lesson?
The free lesson goes for 60 minutes, during which the Keys2drive accredited driving instructor will explain the Keys2drive learning approach – ‘Find Your Own Way’ – and offer examples of how it can be used when learning to drive. The remaining lesson time includes a practical demonstration of these skills being used and taught and you will be driving.
The Keys2drive free lesson is not intended to replace normal driving lessons rather, it should complement them by empowering learner drivers to ‘Find Their Own Way’ to becoming safer drivers.
Learner drivers will receive training in the best ways to practice, helping them gain the confidence they need to prepare for safe P plate driving and beyond.
Parents/supervisors will come away with tools to help their learner drivers achieve a good foundation for lifelong safe driving.
Eligibility Requirements
The learner driver must hold an Australian learners permit；
The learner drivers fully licenced supervising driver (normally mum, dad, family member or a friend) must attend the entire 60 minutes Keys2drive free lesson
Overseas licence holders upgrading to an Australian licence are not eligible for a Keys2drive free lesson；
If you have ever held a full drivers licence in Australia OR overseas, then you are not eligible for the Keys2drive free lesson；
If a learner driver’s supervising driver holds a full international licence they may attend the free lesson with their learner. However, we strongly recommend checking with your states licencing authority to ensure you are legally allowed to supervise a learner driver in Australia or you may risk prosecution；
P Plate drivers upgrading from automatic to the manual are not eligible for a Keys2drive free lesson.
How to book？
1.First, register with Keys2drive at www.
2.Once you have completed registration, you will be sent a text message with your free lesson ID number；
3.Contact LStar Driving School, Quote your free lesson ID number and book a suitable time for you and your supervising driver (normally your mum or dad).
